In November 2020, after a disappointing experience within Worlds 2020 where TSM finished 0-6 in the Group Stage, one of its star players, Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng, surprised the world of League of Legends by announcing his official retirement from the competitive scene.
A great professional career in which the player collected eight LCS championships, in addition to being a finalist in MSI 2019 and qualifying for three World Championships, had come to an end.
Doublelift returns to TSM
Many of his fans and those of the team wondered if the player would once again be part of an organization in his new role as a streamer.

During the last weeks, Doublelift had managed to have a great attraction through Twitch thanks to his co-stream of the LCS 2021 Season, having more than 20,000 viewers listening to his casting and live analysis of the North American league.
Thus, after several months since his retirement and with the stakes high, TSM has made official the return of their legendary player, as part of their content creation team full-time, through a video that made reference to his original signing announcement back in 2015.
And while many wonder if the player will one day return to compete in the highest regional circuit, his followers have received this news very welcome, with which Doublelift will continue to be part of the family that took him to the top, after all these years.
