Burning Crusade Classic: Flying requirements
If you are seeing some players take to the skies at the start of Burning Crusade Classic, they have levelled up extremely quickly.
The only real requirement before you can start flying in Burning Crusade Classic is that you need to be level 70. This means you will have to complete your levelling journey before taking to the skies.

The only exception to this requirement is for the Druid class. Druids can learn "Flight Form" at level 68 from their class trainer, and it only costs 8 Gold 60 Silver. They will, of course, need to have already learned Journeyman Riding which is required to ride Epic ground mounts.
Despite this being the only real requirement to flying, taking to the skies of Outland isn't as easy as it seems.
TBC Classic: Riding skill & mount gold costs
Unlike in World of Warcraft: Classic with ground mounts, the riding skill gold costs in Burning Crusade classic is quite high, compared to the mount cost.
We are just going to pull off the bandaid quickly, as Expert Riding and a Rare flying mount will set you back 900 gold. If you want to get up to maximum speed, however, you will have to fork out a whopping 5,200 gold.

The Riding skill and mount gold costs can be viewed in full below.
- Expert Riding - 800 gold for skill, 100 gold for Rare mount.
- Artisan Riding - 5000 gold for skill, 200 gold for Epic mount.
Most players heading into Burning Crusade Classic will, therefore, probably need to farm for quite some time to start flying.
Riding Trainer locations in Burning Crusade Classic
Last but not least, you will probably want to know where the Riding Trainers are for both Horde and Alliance.
Thankfully, they are quite easy to find, and if you've been to the Shadowmoon Valley area, you should have no trouble getting to their locations.

The Riding Trainer locations for flying in Burning Crusade Classic are:
- Alliance Riding Trainer: Ilsa Blusterbrew at Wildhammer Stronghold in Shadowmoon Valley.
- Horde Riding Trainer: Olrokk at Shadowmoon Village in Shadowmoon Valley.
Close to Ilsa Blusterbrew, you will find Brunn Flamebeard also in Wildhammer Stronghold, who will sell you some flying mounts. The same goes for Dama Wildmane, who is located close to Olrokk in Shadowmoon Village.
