Shadowlands: Chains of Domination - Release date & time
There are actually three release dates for Shadowlands: Chains of Domination, depending on which regional servers you play World of Warcraft on. Check out the dates below in your region.
- 29th June 2021 - US
- 30th June 2021 - Europe
- 1st July 2021 - Asia
The expected release time in your region is roughly 12:00 to 03:00. players can expect some server downtime as the Shadowlands: Chains of Domination update gets deployed.

At the time of writing, there's no exact file size for patch 9.1.
Shadowlands: Chains of Domination content
There's a whole lot of content in the World of Warcraft patch 9.1 update. In Shadowlands, Chains of Domination, there's an exciting new Mythic+ Dungeon Rating feature, a brand-new raid called Sanctum of Domination with 10 bosses, a new area to explore, and much, much more.
The Shadowlands: Chains of Domination content highlights include the following:
- New raid - Sanctum of Domination.
- New Megadungeon - Tazavesh, the Veiled Market.
- 40 additional levels of Renown.
- World boss - Mor'geth, Tormentor of the Damned.
- New zone - Korthia, the City of Secrets.
- New PvP season with Adaptable Gear and shiny new rewards.
- A new Mythic+ season with the affix "Tormented".
- A tonne of new pets, mounts, transmog sets, toys and more collectables.
- Unlocked flying in Shadowlands.
Keep in mind that Season 2 of Shadowlands does not start with the release of the Chains of Domination update.

Shadowlands Season 2 (new PvP and Mythic+ season) is scheduled to begin on 6th July 2021. The same goes for the new raid, Sanctum of Domination but the rest of the content such as the new zone and Megadungeon will be available at launch.
