Original article continues:

On 11th October, popular YouTube star and philanthropist, Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson, announced that he was planning on creating a real-life adaptation of the Netflix Original Series, Squid Game, in a video that he posted on TikTok.

MrBeast promised that he would bring the popular Netflix series to life, but only on one condition: the video must hit 10 million likes on TikTok. This goal was smashed within hours of the video going live, which prompted MrBeast to release an update on 14th October.

How to take part in MrBeast's Squid Game challenge on TikTok

In MrBeast's update, he instructed fans to follow him on TikTok because he would be "grabbing random TikTok followers to compete in [his] Squid Game."

The YouTube star noted via the video caption that, in order to stand a chance of being a contestant in his next challenge, fans would have to "comment what number contestant [they] want to be" on the video.

At the time of writing, MrBeast's TikTok video has already garnered over 620,000 comments and 3.4 million likes, despite only being uploaded nine hours ago.

There's a good reason for fans swarming to comment to take part in MrBeast's real-life adaptation of the hit Netflix series. MrBeast is well-known to host extremely lucrative challenges on YouTube, which recently included a $500,000 game of Tag and a $100,000 bank heist challenge.

It is speculated that, given the immense popularity of Netflix's Squid Game series, that MrBeast could go all-out with this next challenge though it will likely not go quite as far as having contestants killed.

MrBeast has been rather enigmatic about his plans for his real-life adaptation of the series, however, we could see MrBeast do something along the lines of what YouTuber, MoistCr1TiKal, recently created on their channel.

MoistCr1TiKal hosted a Squid Games with several contestants. His adaptation saw a group of 20 contestants compete in a series of four challenges for a cash prize of $10,000 in his "Church of Madness".

The first challenge mimicked episode 1 of the Squid Games series, with the "Red Light, Green Light" challenge, and was uploaded on 11th October, however, MoistCr1TiKal indicated that the remaining challenges would be entirely unique.

The second challenge was uploaded on 13th October and saw contestants search a room filled with piñatas for keys to unlock the following challenge, which has yet to premiere on his YouTube channel.

If we've learned anything from watching MrBeast's challenges on YouTube, it's that his Squid Game recreation will undoubtedly be even crazier and over-the-top.

We're certain that it will likely also comprise a much larger group of contestants and may even span several days, similar to his $500,000 game of Tag video.

We'll continue to keep you updated on further developments and definitely look forward to seeing what MrBeast will do next!
